Contest: redesign this site, win awesome stuff

When I started The Pumpkin Post, my idea was always to make it look like one of those old, Victorian newspapers. The problem is, I can’t design my way out of a paper bag, so I’ve settled for something that doesn’t look like that at all. Now I really want The Pumpkin Post to get a new, individualized look, and that’s where you come in. And you could win something while doing it! In other words, this is a contest, and a contest always has rules, so I’m not going to disappoint you.

Da rulez

1) Design a functional WordPress theme, and submit a concept or a finished theme. If you submit only a conceptual design, you agree to develop it into a working WordPress theme if you are chosen as the winner. Send in your entry to haggis@gmail.com

2) The WordPress theme you design and submit will remain your property, but you grant The Pumpkin Post permission to use it on its site.

3) This contest is open until August 31, 2010, in order to keep you busy during otherwise boring summer holidays.

4) The contest is open to any inhabitant of our known universe, but…

5) Void where prohibited.

6) One winner will be chosen by an expert jury, which is comprised of myself and what ever other awesome judges I can find (in other words, I’ll ask Bill Tiller for his opinion, and maybe someone else too).

The prizes!

The prizes are not yet set in stone, but the overall winner will win a grand prize that will include at least one of the following: an original piece of art from A Vampyre Story, an original piece of art from The Curse of Monkey Island, and an A Vampyre Story art book (in colour), signed by Bill Tiller.

I’m trying to make the grand prize as awesome as possible, so there may be more stuff. I’ll also try to arrange some cool things for the runners-up. An announcement on the exact prizes will follow later, but rest assured that you will win something awesome if you win.
